Who we are
Youth Guardians of Cultural Heritage and the Environment is an organization based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Its stated focus brings together youth engagement, cultural heritage, and environmental responsibility.
The organization seeks to highlight the importance of understanding cultural traditions, respecting the natural environment, and encouraging young people to participate constructively in their communities.
Why the organization exists
Traditions, languages, crafts, and ways of living with the land are carried forward by people, not by buildings or records alone. When young people are disconnected from that knowledge, something is lost that is very hard to recover.
The same is true of the environment. Grasslands, rivers, and forests shape how communities live, work, and remember. Caring for them depends on understanding them, and understanding begins with education and shared responsibility.
The organization exists to bring those two concerns together and to give young people a meaningful place in both.
